"Mommy, I want some love!" :'(

I saw this little kid in Indonesia... She looks five years old with shoulder length long hair and large almond eyes. She seemed cute from my description. Scratched that, she IS cute. But the first thing everyone did when they saw her was side stepping away from her and walked as fast as possible.
  Reason?
She's a filthy, filthy girl (seriously no offence), half naked, with a dirty unwashed body that seemed to have been rolling in mud just some time ago and forgotten to take a bath.
The poor thing was wearing only a loose pair of pants, something from her mother's or other older siblings maybe, help up by just a small thin raffia string and was on the verge of dropping down if she hadn't been pulling it up so often. Whoever is in charged of the poor girl hadn't bothered to clothed her torso, leaving the upper part of her body naked and very very dirty.
The girl, Tia, i found out was her name, was desperately begging passerbies for money or sweets. Her large dark almond eyes was always watery and her lips were always puckered. She would run to whoever is passing by and held on to their clothing and beg in her language. Most of the passerbies would just grab back their clothing or maybe run away whenever she come near them or held out a hand to fend her away. Some even scolded her in foul language or knock her down, not bothering to make sure if she's alright.
I witness this scene almost everyday when I spent my time in Indonesia. That is because my hotel was located near her small wooden hut with broken windows, half blown-away ceilings that she called it home. When I said almost, that meant when the time I was out sight-seeing the whole day. Leaving at just the crack of dawn and returning almost at midnight.
That day, when i came out from my hotel. Looking fresh in a clean green shirt and knee length skirt. That girl, Tia, came running toward me and my group of family and a few friends. All of us, knowing what she would be doing next but was not physically prepared to be fast enough was shocked when my cousin sister shrieked loudly when Tia grabbed the skirt of her beautiful, newly bought white dress.
Poor, poor Tia. She was so shocked from my cousin sister's shriek that she led go instantly but not quite shock enough to stop begging. Looking at my cousin sister's dress. I noticed that dark disgusting smudges had stained the side of her skirt where Tia had let go of. Horrified at the smudges on her skirt, my cousin sister cried out loud and tears started streaking down her face. Trusting her skirt to my aunt, her mother, she sobbed in outraged, "Look ma! Look what she had done to my favourite dress! Its white!"
Me, part amused because of my cousin sister's silly outburst and part sorry for poor Tia who was as shock and shaken as my cousin sister herself.
"Oh, Hui." My aunt sighed. "It's alright. I'm sure it will come out."
Out of sympathy, one of my cousin brother bend down and took his hand out, "What's your name little girl?" He asked softly. He's always the one who's really good with kids like that.
"T-T-Tia" She managed to splutter out, surprising us all by understanding English.
"Oh okay." My cousin brother said. By the tone of his voice. He was shocked too. "So how old are you Tia?"
Tia didn't answer this time. She just shrugged her shoulders, telling us she don't know or she just don't bother to answer.
From his pocket, my cousin brother took out a sweet and gave it to her.
That was the only time, when i saw Tia smiled. A smile so dazzling and bright that makes you want to tear up and just hug that poor poor girl, who just wants someone to care and show affectionate to.
I hereby strictly point out that in this world, there are loads and loads of people who are lack of love and affectionate. Who don't want anything but just someone showing them that there are people caring for them.

Smile and give the ones who's going through a bad day.
Who knows, it might just work miracles (:
